Are IVF/IUI/Fertility Expenses Tax Deductible?

Are IVF/IUI/fertility expenses tax deductible? In short, YES!

US taxes can, unfortunately, be scary, confusing, frustrating, and so complicated many people won’t ever learn how to utilize all the LEGAL options available to them to get as much of the $$ they are entitled to. There are so many costs associated with IVF/IUI and other fertility treatments, knowing what you can and cannot deduct on both your State and Federal taxes in the US can be like trying to read a foreign language. If you don’t claim everything you can and time your treatment effectively, you could be leaving THOUSANDS of $$$ on the table.

The fear of being audited by the IRS is VERY real. Did you know? Only 1% of tax returns get audited by the IRS, if you’re that unlucky 1%, you want to know you’re safe without letting go of money you’re legally entitled to when you file your tax return. You’ve already spent enough $$$ on treatment. So, you need to make sure you use any tax breaks, loopholes, and simple (smart) strategies that are designed to put a nice chunk of it back in your pocket.

Luckily for you, taxes are not scary to me and I am ALL about nailing it come tax time. If you’re undergoing IVF/IUI or any other fertility treatment, you have so many bills coming in, you can’t keep count. I’m here to help you capitalize, strategize and maximize your tax refund LEGALLY so you can get all the funds you’re entitled to by utilizing all the tax laws available to you.

There is SO much info you won’t get from the IRS and Turbo Tax. Don’t just rely on them to get all the information you need. Many accountants don’t get it right either, and if you have one that isn’t helpful – find a new one!

Before you file your taxes or even plan your next treatment you should find know:

  • What medical expenses you can and can’t write off?
  • How to document your expenses/receipts correctly?
  • What a tax hurdle is?
  • The difference between an itemized and standardized deduction?
  • Are your IVF/IUI and/or fertility treatments planned to maximize your tax refund?
